OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The Canton Joint Recreation District purpose is to:
- Develop a year-round program of recreational activities with the Canton City School District and the City of Canton.
- To maintain and supervise all public recreation programs and facilities that may be placed at the disposal of the Recreation Board as authorized by the Laws of the State of Ohio, subject to all local rules and regulations of the Board of Education of the City of Canton, and the City Council and Executive branch of the City of Canton.
- Cooperate with all bodies, organizations, groups and individuals in developing, supervising and maintaining a well rounded public recreation program for the citizens of the Canton City School District including children, youth and adults.
